Pendulum Cam Monitoring System
$985.55
The Pendulum Cam is a wireless video monitoring setup that uses a patented leveling device to maintain a vertical axis when used in conjunction with an electronic or automated tarp system on bulk material handling semi-trailers. The Pendulum Cam allows a driver to have a level view of the inside of his trailer via a wireless monitor without leaving the safe confines of his truck’s cab. This will save time and reduce the chance of injury from performing the repetitive task of climbing up and down a ladder to monitor the progress of the load which is either leaving the trailer or being loaded onto the trailer. The Pendulum Cam also makes additional manpower an unnecessary expense. It can serve as the extra set of eyes which is monitoring the load while the driver is in the cab.
Ideal for:
- Farmers
- Grain Trucking Companies
- Elevators & Co-Op’s
- Cattle Feedlots
- Construction Companies
- Sand, Gravel, and Aggregate Trucking Companies and Suppliers
How Does it Work?
An individual simply rolls their tarp back to expose the interior of their trailer and then positions the camera in a freewheeling state (indexing wheel in the unlocked position) so that it maintains its upright status and can turn freely. The camera is mounted to a shaft which can be adjusted to higher or lower positions and slid on the tarp arm to the desired place to give the best visibility.
There are four different planes of movement to which the camera can be adjusted. Once the desired view is achieved, all clamps and jam nuts are tightened to maintain that position so it goes to the same place every time the tarp is rolled back.
The mechanical portion of the device has a locking mechanism that will allow you to lock the camera in 16 different positions at the pivot point or indexing wheel. When driving down the road it is highly recommended that the camera be locked in a position that keeps it out of harm’s way.

- The camera to monitor link is wireless.
- The system has internal synchronization which minimizes the number of wires/cables since you do not need that external transmitter and receiver.
- The cameras can be triggered. The camera can turn on when you put the equipment in reverse or when you turn your tail lights or marker lights on.
- The WiFi range is well over 100 feet so the camera system can be mounted to the front or rear of the trailer to suit different needs or views. It can even be used as a backup camera on a trailer.
